Attendees of this presentation will receive an in-depth introduction to female sexual health and functioning and the current data on risk factors affecting postpartum sexual health outcomes from a biopsychosocial framework. This presentation serves to contextualize the symbiotic relationship between holistic wellbeing postpartum and sexual functioning. Attendees will also learn about preventative efforts and evidence-based treatments that may mitigate, alleviate, or treat postpartum sexual functioning concerns. Following this training, knowledge gained should be synthesized and integrated into clinical practice with pregnant and postpartum women, expectant couples and couples transitioning to parenthood, and parenting couples.
